SpacePort Camps & Activities

Camps for Kids
SpacePort has been running space-and-aviation-themed Summer Day Camps since 2001, and they grow bigger and better every year. Over the course of five days, campers aged 7 to14 (with up to 20 children per group) do science workshops, see stageshows, make arts and crafts, ride our full-motion simulators, work together and pursue fascinating aspects of science, space, and aviation. Activities adapted from our Educational Programs and NASA’s educational division are combined with arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor games. Campers get creative, learn about aviation-and-space-related careers, and explore the great beyond. The emphasis is on creativity, learning and fun. Ratios are small, allowing for maximum fun and individual attention.

In 2005 SpacePort also introduced a Christmas and Spring Camp for children aged 7 to 14 that focuses on the Airport facility and current activities.
